This month saw acquisitions from Unicepta and Cision, as well as continued funding for influencer marketing tools. Congratulations to all the winners at this year’s AMEC Awards.
October saw acquisitions for both Unicepta and Klarmedia in Europe, as well as funding for Hypefactors. Influence intelligence was also under scrutiny in the US, with Dataminr scoring a new contract and fresh research that shows how social media is used to spread messaging. Meanwhile, it’s almost time for AMEC’s Measurement Month.
September saw an incredible investment into Muck Rack, as well as partnerships from Talkwalker and Meltwater. The month also saw the launch of Penta and some great reads from WHO and Prophet.
August was anything but the quiet, relaxed month it’s supposed to be. Signal Media made an acquisition, as did Pattern. Investors, meanwhile, are focused on influencer tools, with multiple platforms closing funding rounds.
July was not a quiet summer month for Onclusive, which added another company to its portfolio. Infomedia invested in audiovisual solutions, while Favik and Terkel both raised funds. Meanwhile, in Australia, the Copyright Agency commented on MMO licensing.
In June, we saw investment for newcomer Bolt Insights, a settlement from Cision, and the release of the Digital News Report from Reuters Institute
In May, we saw the welcome return of the in-person AMEC Summit. There were also acquisitions for Onclusive and Unicepta, and questions to answer for social media listening providers.
March seemed to be a month of acquisitions in our space. Cision acquired yet another platform, this time to support its Brandwatch business; Launchmetrics picked up a close competitor; and, a consortium of private equity firms bought Nielsen. There was also funding news with month, with Truescope, Propel and My Telescope all picking up funds.
