June saw the media monitoring landscape continue to evolve, with the closure of long-standing provider Burrelles marking the end of traditional print clipping services in the US. Meanwhile, DRT Communications in the Caribbean is expanding its monitoring services with new funding. Meta has launched an API for Threads, opening up opportunities for third-party tool development. Several companies, including Brandwatch and Meltwater, are introducing new features and integrations, with a focus on AI-powered tools and enhanced social media capabilities.

March in media intelligence is very much focused on social with announcements from Meltwater, Reddit, ShopMy and Meta. Also, a gentle reminder that the AMEC Summit is just around the corner.
February looks to be an interesting month for media intelligence, largely because Meltwater announced what could be an industry-defining partnership with Microsoft. (We will all be keeping watch on that one.) Signal AI and Carma both announced acquisitions of UK companies. We have new products from CoverageBook and Newswire.
January saw the return of two public relations stalwarts. Edelman released its annual Trust Barometer highlighting how respondents are feeling about innovation, like AI. Burson has returned as a PR agency brand, with WPP merging Hill & Knowlton and BCW. Meanwhile, Mavrck rebranded and we have product innovation from Pulsar and MediaHQ.
