February was a surprisingly busy month for PR measurement! In no particular order, here are the seven stories that defined the month.
1. Meltwater released a white paper endorsing AVEs – the measurement world were quick to react. Check Meltwater’s response in our piece on the AVE debate.
2. The IPR’s Sarab Kochhar filled us in on the top ten research insights of 2015 – it is definitely worth the read.
3. PR technology is disruptive according to PR technology companies! iSentia showed off their tech company chops with a two-day hackathon. While, Cision’s Peter Granat told us all what we should be thinking:
Disruptive isn't a strong enough word to describe how #tech is shifting #PR, #marketing, #advertising and #social technology.

4. Speaking of Cision, it added Google Analytics to the Cision PR Edition, so users should in theory be able to better link media content to business goals.
Meanwhile, the Coverage Book brought out a free tool that allows you to understand how your media coverage impacted on web traffic using Google Analytics – check it out.
5. PRMoment.com’s PR Analytics conference,#socialsummit16 from PR News and CIPR’s developments in PR measurement event all highlighted technology’s impact on PR and its measurement.
I’d recommend taking a look at Neville Hobson’s deck on the changing nature of content and think about what that means to measurement.
6. AMEC announced it’s first group of speakers for this year’s AMEC Summit. It is sure to be a great event, be sure to book early.
7. We don’t like to toot our own horn – but our site, prmeasured.com, launched in February. Follow us on Twitter, LinkedIn or Google+ to hear about new trends and thoughts in PR measurement.
