EQ to Acquire Notified

Equiniti (EQ) has announced a definitive agreement to acquire Notified. The strategic combination will create an integrated, end-to-end platform delivering seamless investor relations, public relations, and share registry solutions for companies at every stage of growth. This acquisition follows EQ’s successful integration with AST and recent acquisition of Issuer Direct, furthering its position as a leader in shareholder services while enhancing Notified’s PR and IR capabilities with additional scale and resources. The deal is expected to close in Q2 2025.
Dataminr Secures $85 Million in Pre-IPO Financing
Dataminr has secured $USD 85 million in pre-IPO convertible financing and credit led by security-focused VC NightDragon and HSBC. Dataminr serves over 800 customers, approaching $200 million in annual recurring revenue with a substantial $282 million contract with the U.S. Department of Defense. Despite its growth and a client list that includes NATO and OpenAI, the company has weathered challenges including a 20% staff reduction in November 2023 and controversy surrounding its technology being used for social media surveillance during protests.
Sprinklr Reports Strong Financials Amid Legal Challenges
Sprinklr has reported solid financial performance for fiscal year ending January 31, 2025, with total revenue reaching $796.4 million (9% YoY increase) and net income of $121.6 million, while simultaneously facing serious legal challenges over its AI expansion strategy. The customer experience management provider’s 10-K highlights growth in its Unified-CXM platform serving 1,930 customers across 80+ countries, alongside strategic investments in AI capabilities and international expansion. (41% of revenue now comes from outside the Americas). However, a shareholder has filed a lawsuit alleging that Sprinklr executives breached fiduciary duties by failing to disclose that the company’s pivot toward scaling its AI-powered Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) would negatively impact established business lines—claims similar to those in a separate securities class action filed by Levi & Korsinsky. The news follows layoffs at the company reported last month.
USC Annenberg Report Uncovers Generational Divides
The 2025 Global Communication Report from USC Annenberg Center for Public Relations highlights significant generational differences in how PR professionals view their industry’s future, based on a survey of over 1,000 US practitioners. While 74% of professionals across all age groups maintain optimism about the profession’s growth, their perspectives on key trends vary considerably—with 60% believing AI will positively impact PR, though Gen Z professionals display notably higher enthusiasm about AI’s potential to reduce workloads than their older colleagues. ICCO World PR Report Highlights Optimism
ICCO’s latest World PR Report shows that despite global economic and political instability, 67% of PR agency leaders maintain a positive outlook on market growth, with 61% anticipating increased profitability in the coming year. The report highlights the industry’s rapid digital transformation, with 74% of PR professionals now integrating AI tools into their everyday processes, though adoption rates vary significantly by region—North American agencies boast 100% AI adoption compared to just 69% in the UK and Asia. Notably, measurement and analytics emerge as the area professionals believe will be most impacted by new technologies (56%), though the industry faces persistent measurement challenges with 56% of agencies still providing Advertising Value Equivalents (AVEs) when requested, despite industry advocacy against this metric.
